It is the goal of the Petya I. Edwards FOUNDATION, Inc. to become the Champion of Children. Instead of duplicating community efforts, we strive to become a "safety net" for the children suffering from undue stress from two causes, Homelessness and Childhood Cancer.

How do we do this?

Childhood Cancer

By supporting and raising funds for Children's Medical Center with special emphasis on the Cancer Center.

Homelessness

By working with, spreading the word, raising funds and helping in areas that would normally allow some people to "fall through the cracks". Of course, this means working with the families and it is our goal to help parents and children in times of homelessness, strengthen the entire family and to recapture their security. Consequently, we work with shelters with a history of keeping families together.

How can you help?

By volunteering your time and ideas. It is all about communication and raising the funds to support all those nonprofit organizations that are already established and have contributed to the welfare of their communities. And as usual, donations of money, food, clothing, etc. are also appreciated and needed.

Featured Family

We currently support Irene and her three children. She has breast cancer and is scheduled for a double mastectomy next month. She works as a nurse and even though her doctor has begged her to reduce her hours, she has continued to work non-stop in order to take care of her children.
